The world of fashion companies is disconnected and non-digitalized. There is a need digitalized it, and as retraced we aim to take the leapfrog for the industry to directly jump into industry 4.0 and blockchain. I will showcase the journey from beginning of the era of our platform to connect all fashion companies, over to a journey to Pakistan to digitalize farmers all the way to retailer to comply with the German supply chain due diligence law – and that all in one platform.

About the speaker

Peter Merkert is CTO and co-founder at retraced. Especially becoming a father 4 years ago, shifted focus to ensure the sustainability of this planet. However, he faced the pain of misinterpretation and misguidance of non-backed sustainability claims – especially in the fashion industry. This is when he started retraced with two fellows in Germany: A platform for the fashion industry to manage sustainability.
