This Blockchain Monday will present a conceptual design where tokenization in grant management could be among the blockchain applications with the greatest social impact, enhancing the delivery and execution of public benefit funding. The proof of concept to be presented, contributes to research and literature by coupling accountability measures and non-transferability of funds among recipients. The applicability of this solution extends to local government budget management as well.

About the Speakers

Conrad Kraft is Executive Director at the Digital Euro Association. He holds a master’s degree in Digital Currencies and Blockchain (Cum laude) from the University of Nicosia and has undertaken research in the areas of DLT, CBDCs, and the use of exponential technologies in the public sector.

Mariana Carmona is Founder of Immutable Oasis Labs, a consultancy specialised in Web3 technologies currently working for Status Network, previously designed the NFT & Metaverse strategy for a US startup in Performing Arts, among others. She is part-time analyst for Messari and has published research about blockchain use cases. Mariana holds a Master in Digital Currencies (Cum laude) from the University of Nicosia.
