On the upcoming BloMo, the 08.2.2021 Roberto Capodieci will talk to us about the details of finding consensus within blockchain Protocols. He will talk about what a consensus system in a blockchain is, how it works, why it is important, and how it needs to evolve now that blockchains are adopted for non-financial use cases. It will be a bit more technology-oriented and especially great for decentralization enthusiasts.
After his talk, Roberto is very much looking forward to be asked about consensus Mechanisms and blockchain Zoo as well as his perspective on the future of Blockchain.

Roberto Capodieci has been working in IT since he was a little kid. He started by coding video games to eventually specialize in big data analysis, working for law enforcement. He studied decentralized systems and peer to peer networks since the times of the Torrent protocol, and has now more than 7 years of active experience in blockchain technology. He pioneered the application of blockchain to Trade Finance in 2014, working actively on NXT, one of the first blockchain that used Proof of Stake instead of Proof of Work. After spending several years modifying transaction types of open-source platforms to satisfy specific business models requirements, Roberto founded Blockchain Zoo in 2017, and eventually pivoted the full company to create a new blockchain platform suited for government and non-financial uses: ZooBC.
