The presentation will be about bridging the gap between social media and blockchain and the importance of community building – through APPICS being the use case :
APPICS is a decentralised global social media app that rewards its users for creating and curating content. The integrated reward system lets users from anywhere in the world earn income for sharing, commenting and voting on content. On Appics, users are in control of their information, distribution of rewards and directly benefit from the growth of the platform.
Appics has already successfully raised over 4 Mio. € and used the funds to establish a fully functioning system. The user experience of their own native APP (iOS & Android) resembles the familiar user experience influencers and bloggers are used to from Instagram. Despite being in Beta, APPICS has a growing and actively engaged community, as well as 120 Ambassadors in over 20 countries. For their global launch the APPICS team could already secure exclusive support from major brands and celebrities.
The presentation will be held in English as a live online webinar. The participation is free of charge.
Uma Hagenguth is Co-founder & COO of APPICS. Uma began her career as an online entrepreneur at the age of 15, helping businesses successfully transition to digital. She co-founded a digital marketing agency, while expanding her knowledge in the crypto space. Like her co-founders, she has a background as a dancer/artist and passion for expression. Shortly after starting to write “blogs on blockchain” in 2016, she decided to combine her passion for communication and marketing with her passion for philanthropy and blockchain technology to co-create APPICS.
